An image-to-SVG API, on the way

We’re planning an API for the SVG Me converter: send a PNG or JPG, get back a clean SVG with a few flat colors, smooth curves and no stray specks. Join the waitlist for early access, and tell us what you need so we build the right thing.

What we’re planning

  • The same engine as the web app, which beat VTracer and Potrace on accuracy in our tests.
  • Automatic settings by default: it detects the image type, cleans up blurry or compressed sources and picks the colors. Or set the number of colors yourself.
  • One request per image, with an API key tied to your SVG Me account.
  • Pay per image, like the app. Waitlist members hear about pricing first.

When will it be available?

We’ll open early access once enough people have asked for it. Everyone on the waitlist hears first. Joining doesn’t commit you to anything.

Can I convert images now?

Yes. Upload an image to convert it in your browser. Converting and previewing are free, so you can check the quality on your own images first.
